Masoud Jafari, S.E.
Principal

Masoud is principal structural engineer of the company. He has more than 40 years of experience in management and structural design. He has worked on wide variety of projects including commercial, industrial, retail, custom home, apartment building, marina, shoring, theme park, bridge, seismic retrofitting, forensic study, communication towers and as expert witness in the U.S. and overseas.

Witold Lawniczak MSc, P.E.
Lead Engineer

Witek joined the firm in 2004. As a lead engineer he is responsible for supervising other engineers and design check. He is specialized in wood, masonry, concrete, steel, aluminum and light gauge steel design. He has performed structural analysis and detailing for hundreds of challenging projects, using various innovative techniques.

Michael Farag
Senior Designer

Mike joined the firm in 2004. He is responsible for developing structural details and plans. He is also responsible for quality control of structural packages before going out for biding. With over 15 years of experience in structural engineering field for commercial projects, custom homes and tenant improvements, Michael is extremely valuable to William Simpson & Associates, Inc.’s clients.

Ali Hekmat PhD, P.E.
Project Manager

Ali earned his Ph.D. in structural engineering and for the past several years worked for couple of reputable structural firms as a project manager. Ali has authored several journal papers. With over 8 years of experience in structural design, Ali contributes to reduction of construction cost through alternative and innovative design. Ali is a valuable asset to William Simpson & Associates, Inc. and the projects he undertakes.

Chau Nguyen
Senior Designer

Chau has a degree in architectural. He joined the firm 1985 and worked on different projects in all around of California and Nevada. He works with Revit Structure and AutoCAD for modeling and preparing structural drawings. He serves as an experienced source of reference to the other associates at the office.
